I went to Gold Rush Farms with my fiance to take a lesson and a trail ride. During my lesson the instructor was not only extremely knowledgeable, but also made me feel at ease seeing as I do not have much riding experience! And the trail ride was just the icing on the cake. It was so beautiful and Roy, the horse I was riding, was just so sweet! Not to mention the gorgeous Spring views! My fiance and I had such a wonderful time. I also was so thrilled to learn that all of the guided trail rides were private, which is something that other places I have done trail riding at have not offered. The horses were gorgeous and the people were friendly....what more could you ask for? We will definitely be visiting Gold Rush Farms on a regular basis!

I board my horse at Gold Rush Farms. Of all the places I have been, this one is the most comfortable, non- judgemental place around. There are hundreds of acres of beautiful private trails and several riding rings. The owner is a wonderful woman who actively practices the ways of natural horsemanship, which enables her to understand & communicate with the horse in their own language. Whether you're looking to establish a good relationship between yourself and your horse, take riding lessons, board, or just go for a trail ride, look no further. This is truly a laid back place with a twist of the old west mixed into the heart of Fairfield county. There's nowhere I'd rather be.

Gold Rush Farms is a second home to me, and means a whole lot to me. Being at this farm has made me so happy and it's brought me to new people who I can call a family. Everyone is always willing to help each other and work together. The trails are beautiful, peaceful and overall amazing. The horses are just beautiful, well taken care of and always seem so happy. It's a pleasure to spend summers and weekends throughout the year at this farm. I wouldn't be anywhere else if I had the choice. I recommend everyone to come down for a day and take a trail ride or a lesson! I promise that you'll definitely want to come back for another ride. So take a little break from the city and come put a little country in your life!

I've just started riding at Gold Rush Farm and am very pleased to have found it. I was looking for a place to ride western some months ago and for some reason didn't find the site. The trails are beautiful and there are a lot of them. They are wide enough that two riders could easily ride side by side. I am used to horsemanship through "feel" and was delighted to find that this is Monique's approach to teaching. One of the other reviewers criticized the property. I would call it rustic and very western looking. The horses are turned out every day. Many of them live entirely outside. In other stables I have visited in Connecticut, the horses are kept in their stalls most of the time and are lucky if they get turned out for 30 minutes a day. Gold Rush Farm is a great place.

We went during the week, so I can't voice oppinion about weekends.

Took my 8 year old for his 1st riding lesson. He loved it! Danielle was his instructor and she was very knowledgable and relaxed. She made my son very comfortable and gave him great tips.

They offer a pack of rides, 8 for the price of 7. We bought a pack and are both going to hit the trails with a guide next week. We can't wait!
