I can't say enough good things about Reed. I first found him on Service Magic where I was first a little ambivalent about him because he seemed so young-- but man, was I impressed, this guy fixes electrical problems like he was born with thunderbolts in each hand. The first project he helped us with was our house which, when we bought it, had not had any power for two years. The basement was flooded, and the sump pump obviously wasn't running since it had no juice. Reed came in, in the dead of winter, and got the pump working first, upgrading our panel from 100 amps to 200 amps in the process. His work was neat and tidy; no dangling lines, everything marked out perfectly for us-- and no problems with power or electricity until Irene. The second time we called Reed it was because our home inspector demanded we fix our pool pump-- I knew just the guy to call. Reed came in and installed a timer for the pool and got all the wiring patched up to code. Then I asked him about fixing our lights outside, and he said (I remember this well), "To be honest, those lights look like crap. The posts are barely standing up. I can fix them but you're going to end up replacing them all because some things just aren't worth fixing." I appreciated the honesty-- here's a guy who's not just out to make a buck; he tells you how it is and who keeps you from throwing good money after bad. The last time I called Reed was the day Irene hit. A tree had fallen right next to our house and had dragged the power lines down to the ground. The drop-in-service conduit mounted to our house had come down with it (and we're lucky it didn't take the wall too!) So we're stuck without power and hot water. Out comes Reed's business card, and he's here the next day. He did this despite the fact that he probably has a week's worth of more lucrative jobs lined up. The conduit goes back up two hours after he shows up, and he's already on his way to his next job. I look at the bill and I'm flabbergasted-- did he really just charge me time and parts? Here's a guy who *could* have easily gouged me in my dire circumstances (the electric company said they'd be back out again in couple of days and not again for possibly a couple weeks)-- and he takes his standard charge instead. This is a guy you can trust, with the skills, price, and honesty you need. But don't think you'll be able to get him after the next hurricane, because I'll be calling him first. Thanks Reed!

First of all the owner does return your call. And he shows up when he says he will. Estimates are provided and honored. Reed is both personable and professional and will do small jobs as well as large. Just try to get an electrician to come for some small but needed electrical work and see what happens. Reed will be there. Highly recommended.
